This really is the most elegant thing we've seen in a long while! Fabulous triptych early 20th century free-standing dressing table mirror, with bevel edged glass and a beautiful William Morris-esque leaf design in brown and cream on the back of each panel. This is so unusual and in such great condition! It also has a delicate chain so can be hung on the wall. I've seen these described as barbers' mirrors as the three mirrors allow you to see right around your person so you can admire your amazing new bob!
There are some small scratch marks and minor black spots on the mirror glass, which just add to the vintage look, we feel. We haven't polished the metal, but you of course could if you wanted. The backing of the mirror with the leaf pattern seems to be some kind of waxed woven cardboard, which is in really good condition.
Ingeniously the mirror fully folds up, so each panel lays on top of the other, we guess to make it suitable for packing into your pigskin suitcase when going off on a jaunt to stay in a friend's country house! When folded it is 25cm x 30cm x 3.5cm. The width measurement given is for when it's laid out as flat as it will go.
We will post for free to the UK mainland. Our experience of using parcel services for delicate items is not good, so we will be using Parcel Force this time. The price takes this into account.
PLEASE NOTE: delivery services do not provide insurance for the delivery of a mirror as standard, so if it is broken in transit, we will unfortunately not be able to provide a refund (unless both you and we agree that the packaging was not adequate).
