Part of the Poole pottery TwinTone range, this elongated dish, designed like a marrow (and perhaps for serving a marrow smothered in butter?) would have been produced between 1953-68 as the marking C97 for the Peach Bloom/Seagull colour way is dated for that period. Looking more like a pastel pink the underside colour works perfectly with the light grey mottled, almost splattered top side and gives this a very modern look.
Perfect for storing odds and ends, keys etc by the front door, or for serving pre-dinner nibbles, this dish has that lovely poole pottery matt finish.
The length is 41cm, and width is 13cm.
